T50RPmk4Q
RP Stereo HeadphonesThe “T50RPmk4Q” designed to pursue “authentic sound,” and the “T60RPmk2Q” designed to pursue “sound that moves the soul,” mark the birth of the new “Q Series” with enhanced sound quality specifications.
Our proprietary “RP” full-range planar magnetic driver, developed in-house, has been refined and continuously evolved through use in professional music studios around the world. Building on the “T50RPmk4” and “T60RPmk2”—models that have garnered support from many creators and listeners thanks to their fourth-generation RP drivers—we have developed new high-fidelity models:“T50RPmk4Q” and “T60RPmk2Q.” This series inherits the design philosophy cultivated in the series’ flagship model, the “T60RPmk2ai.”For the internal wiring connecting everything from the core to the output terminals, we have adopted 7N-grade high-purity copper wire with a purity of 99.99999% or higher, elevating the RP driver’s excellent response performance, subtle nuance reproduction, and spatial reproduction capabilities to an even higher level. The “T50RPmk4Q,” while inheriting the Monitor Identity, serves as a studio reference model that vividly renders sound localization and attack, demonstrating its true value in production environments where authentic sound is essential. The “T60RPmk2Q” features a solid black walnut housing that produces a natural, rich resonance; it also faithfully reproduces the lingering silence, the sense of space, and even the breath of vocalists, delivering a deeply moving listening experience. Inheriting the DNA of RP Technology—refined over more than half a century—the “T50RPmk4Q” and “T60RPmk2Q” offer even greater purity and a deeper immersion in music, marking a new pinnacle for RP headphones. In pursuit of the ultimate expression of RP Technology’s history spanning over 50 years, the Quest continues.

Features
● 7N-grade internal cable, carrying on the legacy of the “T60RPmk2ai”
Inheriting the high-fidelity design philosophy of the series’ flagship model, the “T60RPmk2ai,” the driver and connector are connected via a 7N-grade high-purity OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cable with a purity of 99.99999% or higher. This represents a significant improvement in purity over the 3N-grade cables used in the T60RPmk2 and T50RPmk4, elevating the RP drivers’ excellent response performance, subtle nuance reproduction, and spatial reproduction to an even higher level.
● 4th-Generation RP Driver
The full-drive planar diaphragm driver, based on RP Technology—which has been refined over 50 years using proprietary technology—has been updated to its 4th generation. To expand and uniform the vibration range of the planar diaphragm, the number of magnets sandwiching the diaphragm has been increased, and the pattern of the printed coil has been redesigned.Furthermore, by completely redesigning the magnetic circuit components to optimize magnetic flux distribution, the driver suppresses unwanted diaphragm resonance, achieving rapid attack and decay with a sharp response.Developed by fully incorporating the various technologies cultivated to date, the fourth-generation driver simultaneously achieves improved sensitivity, a smooth frequency response that is easy to monitor, and excellent transient response. By enabling accurate and delicate reproduction from the deep bass to the high frequencies, it further enhances precise sound localization and soundstage reproduction compared to previous models.Furthermore, as with previous models, we ensure reliable quality through integrated manufacturing at our own factory.
*RP and RP Technology refer to Fostex’s proprietary technology (Patent No. 7675248) that moves the entire surface of a planar diaphragm in a regular phase (Regular Phase).
● Easy to set up for balanced connections.
The T60RPmk2Q uses a Y-cable with 2-pole 3.5 mm connectors on both the left and right housings. A separately sold balanced cable (φ4.4: ET-RP4.4BL2Y) is available.
The T50RPmk4Q is equipped with 4-pole 3.5 mm connectors on both the left and right housings, allowing the cable to be connected to either side. A separately sold balanced cable (φ4.4: ET-RP4.4BL2.0) is available.
● “究(Kyu)” Logo Housing Exclusive to the Q Series
The housing features a logo that symbolizes our design philosophy of pursuing the ultimate in sound quality.
● Comfortable Ear Pads
The ear pads feature a low-resilience, around-ear design engineered for comfort, ensuring a comfortable listening experience even during extended use. Additionally, the separately sold optional ear pads made with Toray’s Ultrasuede®
(EX-EP-RP-SUEDE), available separately. They are breathable, soft to the touch, and deliver smooth, high-quality sound across the entire frequency range, from deep bass to high frequencies.
